Colville will be tough again in the Northeast A

Colville High shared a Northeast A League wrestling title with Lakeside and Riverside last season. There is no reason to believe that the Indians will have to share anything this time around. Randy Cloke’s Indians get the pre-season nod as the team to beat in the NEA.
The Indians, the defending District 7 1A champions, are particularly strong at the lower weights again this season. There are some holes in the upper weights.
Colville returns five of the seven wrestlers who qualified for the Mat Classic state championships in Tacoma last February.

Vining will lead Bulldogs

Some new faces will see plenty of mat time when Kettle Falls High School gets its 2011-2012 wrestling season underway close to home on Wednesday at Colville in a Jamboree with the Indians, Chewelah, Selkirk and Republic. Wrestling gets started at 5 p.m.
The Bulldogs of head coach Joe Kerns will be at the Liberty Tournament on Saturday (9 a.m. start).
