Peggy Joy Collier, a resident of Rice, passed away at her home on Feb. 13, 2012 at the age of 64. She was born on Jan. 10, 1948 in Helena, MT, the daughter of Roy and Edith Bell (ErdÂŹman) Hutcheson.
Peggy lived in many communities in the Northwest, but lived in Goldendale most of her life. She moved to Colville in 1985, and has enjoyed living in this area most of the time since then.
Mary Elizabeth Wilson, a lifelong resident of Kettle Falls, passed away on Feb. 17, 2012 at the age of 80. She was born on July 11, 1931, the daughter of Jerry and Mattie (Fry) Ferguson.
Mary married Art Wilson in 1948. Soon after Mary and Art were married, they built a house in Kettle Falls where they reÂŹsided for the rest of their lives. It was in this home where they raised three children, Lanaa, Rick, and Rauna.
Delbert âDelâ Lewis Sparks, a lifetime resident of the Rice and Kettle Falls area, passed away on Feb.14, 2012 at his home at the age of 77. He was born on May 22, 1934 in Colville, the son of Joseph Parron and Freda Grace (Lewis) Sparks.
Sharon Myers Fry, Colville High School Class of 1961, passed away at her home in Spokane on Feb. 16, 2012 of Ovarian Cancer.
Sharon attended Orient Grade School until 1954. She spent a year in Libby, Montana and started Colville Junior High School in seventh grade.
Sharon is survived by sons, Glen, Michael and Duane; daughter, Alisa, grandchildren, Trevor, Kailene, Glen Jr., James, Daniel, Anthony and Chelsie, by her brothers Darrel and Dale, and by a sister, Linda.
John Patrick Goodall, age 93, a resident of Colville, passed away on Feb. 15, 2012 in Colville. John was born on March 27, 1918 in Bakersfield, CA, the son of Oswald Patrick and Harriett (Randall) Goodall.
As a young boy, John resided in Bakersfield with his parents. At the age of seven, his parents enrolled him at the St. John Military Academy in Los Angeles, CA. He attended the academy until returning home to attend Kern County Union High School. John graduated in 1936 and began working.
Lawrence Russell Leaden passed away unexpectedly at his home on Feb. 13. Larry, as he was known by all, was born May 16, 1948 in Rossland, B.C. Canada to Howard and Dorothy Leaden and was raised in Northport on the family farm.
Larry was an amazing and proud father and had a huge heart. He cared about people. There wasnât anything he wouldnât do for his daughter. As a friend, he could not be faulted. He did his best to help out anyone that asked for his help and was always honored when they asked him for it.
