Colville High went into last Friday and Saturdayâs Mat Classic XXIV on a roll. The Indians, on successive weeks, had annexed the Northeast A and District titles and captured their first regional crown.
Expectations were high in the Colville camp that the Indians could finish in the top three or four among 1A elite in the Tacoma Dome.
Colville boys eliminate Freeman at Chelan
In a game more reminiscent of a backyard brawl or a rough around the edges Australian Rules Football scrum on roller derby skates, Colville Highâs boys led wire to wire to register a 54-47 Bi-District winner-to-regionals/loser-out win Saturday afternoon over Freeman at Chelan Community Gymnasium.
The win for Colville (15-11) was the first this season in four tries over Northeast A League and District 7 1A champion Freeman (15-9).
Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is introducing a new permit program to enhance collaboration with area commercial service providers and to comply with National Park Service regulations.
Beginning in 2012, Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area will issue Commercial Use Authorizations (CUAs), which are limited authorizations to provide specific commercial visitor service activities within the boundaries of the area.
Examples of persons required to obtain a CUA include fishing guides, tour operators and boat recovery operators.
Last week, Avista filed Purchased Gas Cost Adjustment (PGA) requests with the utility commissions in Washington and Idaho to reduce overall natural gas prices by 6.4 perÂŹcent and 6.0 percent respectively, to be effective March 1.
