Indians lose to
Freeman, Okanogan
Colville High (16-8) dropped a pair of Bi-District girl’s Class 1A games last weekend in Chelan and saw a very successful season come to an end.
The Indians opened the Bi-District Tournament last Friday night at Chelan High School against two-time defending State 1A champion Freeman. The Scotties, winners of the Northeast A League regular season championship, had advanced to Chelan with a loser-out, 57-54 win over second-ranked Cashmere (20-2) back on Feb. 15 at Moses Lake High School.
Marilyn Nada Christian, a 53-year resident of Colville, passed away on Feb. 16, 2012 in Colville at the age of 84. Marilyn was born on June 3, 1927 in Spokane, the daughter of Oran Francis and Anaide Mae (Myers) Sparks.
She had the opportunity to reside in several communities while growing up, including Seattle, Springdale, Spokane and Sprague. While in Sprague, Marilyn attended elementary school. She moved to Spokane to complete her education and graduated at Rogers High School in 1944.
