Dennis âDennyâ G. Wuesthoff, Sr., a resident of Nine Mile Falls, passed away on Feb. 17, 2012 in Yuma, AZ. Denny was born on Oct. 31, 1938 in Chewelah, the son of George Ernest and Gladine (Williams) Wuesthoff.
One thing that everyone who knew him can agree, Michael Lynn Warren had a smile and a good word for everyone. He was taken by his God on Feb. 25, 2012.Â
Born in Phoenix, AZ on Sept. 5, 1953 to a preacher and a homemaker, he lived in many states before settling in Manteca, CA, where he attended Manteca High.
Sharon âSheriâ Rosella Campuzano, a seven-year resident of the Flat Creek area of Kettle Falls, passed away on Feb. 24, 2012 in Colville at the age of 73. She was born on Oct. 7, 1938 in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Chester and Meriom (Page) Durham.
Stanley âStanâ M. Hallam, a lifetime resident of Kettle Falls, passed away on Feb. 21, 2012 in Kettle Falls at the age of 70. He was born in Colville on August 27, 1941, the son of Loyal Ivan and Ellen Olivia (Hockersmith) Hallam.
Marguerite Mary McNamee, a longtime resident of the Northport and Colville areas, passed away with her family by her side on Feb. 22, 2012 in Colville at the age of 80. Mary was born on April 9, 1931 in Trail, British Columbia, the daughter of Ernest Thomas âTomâ Nollie and Mary Marguerite Nollie (Daily).

In her ongoing efforts to create awareness and education about the affects of commercial pollutants in her hometown, Jamie Paparich is working to raise funds so people living in Northport can be tested for toxins.
Paparichâs âNorthport Projectâ is currently working to raise $3,200 so 30 past and present residents of Northport can send in samples of their hair to be tested for toxins like arsenic, cadmium and mercury.
Paparich said the hair tests, which cost roughly $108 each and can be sent in via regular mail, are more accurate than other testing.
WSU Stevens County Master Gardeners and the Colville Community Garden will co-host a Sowing Seeds for Supper workshop in March.
This workshop will offer seven gardening workshops and one on food preservation Saturday, March 24, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sowing Seeds for Supper will be held at the Community Colleges of Spokane-Colville Center. 985 S. Elm in Colville.
Registration deadline for this fourth annual event is March 19. Registration fee is $15, plus supply fee. Some hands-on classes have a supply fee.
