Jack Sparks

Jack D. Sparks passed away at 6:25 p.m. Feb. 19, 2012 at Kennewick. He was surrounded by family and his longtime companion, Dorothy Rapinsky.
He was born in Kettle Falls, WA on April 1, 1935 to Claude D. and Virginia Esther (Beach) Sparks. He married Marilyn Diann McWhorter in 1954 in Yakima before moving to Hawaii for military duty. Jack served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1968, seeing duty in the Korean theater and in Thailand in support of the Vietnam operations.

Miss Colville right around the corner

The Colville Chamber of Commerce will present the Miss Colville Scholarship Program titled "As Time Goes By" on Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Colville High School auditorium.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Reserved seat tick¬ets are available for $10 each at the Colville Chamber of Commerce office now, or at the door on the night of the program. Chamber of¬fice hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“This year's show promises to be a very entertaining one,” says Miss Colville Director ,Kari Hubbard. “All of the girls are enthusiastic and ex¬tremely talented.”
