Lawrence Lester Visger, a three-year resident of Colville, passed away on Jan. 15, 2013 in Colville at the age of 83. LawÂŹrence was born on Nov. 13, 1929 in Minong, WI, the son of John Leroy and Margaret V. (Bickel) Nelson. He also shared a special bond with his step-father, Otto C. Nelson.
Cecil Edward Combs, âEdâ, was born in Virginia on Sept.17, 1946 to Junior Calup Combs and Janet Florence Scarbrough.

Ed was a man of many talents and trades. One of his first jobs was at McClendonâs Hardware in Seattle. He also worked on oil rigs in Kimble, Nebraska, and as an electrical engineer in Mexico and at the Boeing plant in Seattle. Over the years, he also worked as a millwright in a large factory, and as a wood cutter, a carpenter, a mechanic, a metals recycler/scrapper and as a gold prospector.
