WSP investigates shooting at Kettle River Campground

A shooting at Kettle River Campground in Ferry County left one man injured with a gunshot wound and another man in jail, according to Washington State Patrol Detective Ryan Spangler. According to Spangler, the shooting happened when two National Park Service Rangers went to investigate a noise complaint around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. The incident reportedly happened when two rangers responded to the complaint and they attempted to gain access to a houseboat moored at the campground. An altercation ensued with the houseboat owner Mike Sublie.
