Maxine Brauner

Maxine V. Brauner passed away Sept. 10, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Palm Desert, CA.
She is survived by her five children, Gayle, Dick, Rod, Dan Brauner and Ronna Jimenez; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Sean, Brooke, April Brauner, and Kyle and Samantha Jimenez; one brother, Ernie Meyer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Richard (Dick); by her parents, Otto and Iva Meyer; by a sister, Jean Stark, and by her brothers, Duke, Pete, Don, Roy and Dick Meyer.

Lawrence Mace

Lawrence Aaron Mace left us all too early as the result of a car accident on Sept. 24, 2014. He has gone to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Through his life, Lawrence found great peace in Psalm 23. He always called it his verse.
Lawrence was born the son of Harold and Judy Mace on Feb. 1, 1964 in Colville. He was a blessing to his family. Lawrence attended elementary school in Orient, until his family relocated to Colville in the early 70’s, where he continued his education and graduated from Colville High School in 1982.

Darlene Sublie

Darlene Marie Sublie (Hilstad) was born Oct 29, 1944 in Colville. She joined our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 69 on Sept.24,2014 in Yuba City, CA.
She attended all 12 years and graduated from high school at Kettle Falls. After high school, she lived the majority of her life in Washington State with her family. Her next phase of life had her settling in Yuba and Sutter Counties in California.

Catherine Seitters

Catherine Seitters, a longtime resident of Colville, passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2014 at the age of 90. She was born on April 18, 1924 in White Swan to Frances and Anna (Queen) Leopardo.
Catherine lived in Lakeland Village with her family until moving to Spokane, where she lived for six years and worked in a nursing home. She later moved north, living and working at Loon Lake, Hunters and then to Colville in 1980.

Shirley Dodson

Shirley Elizabeth Dodson was born Jan. 12, 1925 and went to her rest Sept. 19, 2014 with many of her family present.
Shirley was born to Claude and Leonie Wylie in Ft. Collins, CO. She was the youngest of four sisters: Helen, Iona and Earlene, all who preceded her in death. When she was three-years-old, the family moved to a ranch near Walden, CO, and relocated to the Colville area in 1935.

Shirley Mildred Snyder, a lifetime resident of the Onion Creek area, passed away on Sept. 18, 2014 at the age of 88. Shirley was born on August 7, 1926 in Colville, the daughter of Rudolph and Ruth (Perry) Lotze.
Shirley attended the Onion Creek School until she completed the ninth grade. At the age of 18, she married the love of her life, Joseph Snyder, in Colville. In 1956 they established their home on Onion Creek Road, where she has lived the remainder of her life. Throughout the years, Shirley dedicated her time to taking care of her family and the needs at her home.

Raymond Kuh Sr.

Raymond Adolph Kuh Sr., 92, passed away on Sept. 17, 2014 in Colville. He was born on Feb. 24, 1922, the son of Joe and Anna (Sattler) Kuh in Toppenish.
Ray grew up in Finley and attended school in Hover. After graduating from Hover High School, Ray met Betty Ochse and the couple married in Chicago in 1944. After the couple was married, Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy in the European Theatre of WWII.

Jerald McGrew

Jerry McGrew of Prosser passed away Sep. 15, 2014 at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jerry was born April 13, 1940, in Mabton.
He is survived by his sons, Greg G. McGrew of Colville and Gary G. McGrew of Seattle; his significant other, Rae Martin of Prosser; sisters, Marsha Fox of Rice and Debbie Georgariou of Mead, and seven grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Sue, and by sisters, Belva, Donna and Jean.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at his home on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m.

Cleveland Miller

Cleveland Wilbur Miller, a 14-year resident of Colville, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 14, 2014 at the age of 70. He was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania to Edward and Margaret Miller.
Cleveland was raised in Pennsylvania and shortly after high school he served in the United States Air Force. After his time in the Air Force, Cleveland relocated to Monterey, California, where he started attending community college. He later started his long career with Pacific Bell Telephone Company, where he met his future wife of 31 years.
