When it comes to the artistry of floral arrangements, Debbie Therrian is kind of a big deal. Not that she acts as such, but Therrian's talents have taken her from Nevada to California, where she reigned at floral shows with her unique, expressive arrangements and was even honored as a top designer when she was 19-years-old.

Colville Junior High School and Basement Boys’ wrestling standout TJ Baun will be busy this month with regional and national tournaments.
Baun and his father Tom left Colville on June 4 for the Schoolboy/Girl National Duals in Indianapolis, Indiana. That tournament will run June 5-9 at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis.
Baun, age 14, and an eighth-grader at CJHS, will be competing in his first national duals (Freestyle/Greco) as a member of Team Washington. He’ll be wrestling in the 98- pound class.

Members of the Gonzaga University women’s basketball team will be back to help with the annual Panorama Girl’s Basketball Camp later this month.
One of the best basketball camp buys anywhere will make its annual run at Colville High School Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21.
Gerald Merton Knapp, 77, of Clarkston, passed away May 24, 2013 at his home. He was born April 28, 1936, to Oak and Mary (Hansen) Knapp in Orofino. He attended Colville High School and was in the graduating class of 1954. Gerald attended Washington State University and graduated from there in 1958 with a degree in civil engineering. He was in the National Guard in 1958.
Gerald married Judith Ann (Judy) Sieger April 8, 1962 in Colville. She passed away Oct. 17, 2010.
He married Diane Gentry Rodakowski Sept. 22, 2012 in Coeur d’Alene.
Robert Ellis Ruff passed away on May 4, 2013 in Evans. He was born the son of Reuben and Edna Ruff on Jan. 12, 1919 in Montpelier, MN. Robert was best known in the community as “Grandpa” or “Cowboy Bob.” He would always greet you with a smile.
Nathalie Ella Harris was welcomed into the loving arms of her family at 4:27 p.m. on May 21, 2013 in Spokane.
Her grace and presence filled the room and touched the lives of those present for only an hour before she answered the call of her Lord and Savior. The love she offered began at the mo¬ment of her conception and gave hope, future dreams and the promise of new life for over 25-weeks. She leaves im¬measur¬able faith in the promise that her family will see her again in the arms of Jesus.
Morris (Moe) Burnett of Waterville passed away peacefully on Nov. 21, 2012. He was born at East Wenatchee on July 7, 1926, to Hollis and Bertha (Overturf) Burnett. He graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1944.
He met his future wife, Peggy Ingalls, at a Saturday dance on Badger Mountain while she was visiting her uncle with her sister, who was married to Moe's cousin. It was love at first sight for both of them. A year later, they got married (Oct. 23, 1946) in Colville and were married for 64 years until her death in 2010. They made their first home in Douglas.
Mylo Granville Lyng passed away in Spokane on May 25, 2013. He was born the son of Henry and Selma (Rom) Lyng in McHenry County, North Dakota on Jan. 8, 1932.
Gary Duane Peterson, a longtime resident of Colville, passed away on May 27, 2013 in Spokane. Gary was born on Sept. 5, 1938 in White Salmon, the son of Clifford and Marvel (Freer) Peterson.
Gary was raised in the Vancouver and Newport, OR areas and graduated from Newport High School in 1956. After graduation, Gary began working at Yaquina Bay Lumber Company and a few years later he joined the National Guard as a Reservist, where he used all his free time taking his training in the eve¬nings and weekends.
