Fear not, rodeo fans. The Colville Pro-West Rodeo is scheduled for its usual Father's Day weekend in June. Because of trepidation over the recent Equine Herpes Virus (EHV-1) outbreak in Washington State, the Colville Panorama Rodeo Board met June 2 to decide whether or not to proceed with the annual event.
According to Panorama President Dave Baskins, the rodeo will go ahead as planned.

Colville Farmer’s Market is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Wednesday thru October. They are located at the corner of Third and Oak every Wednesday. The Colville Junior High Warriors held a pop tab collection competition as part of a school wide recycling program. The 7th grade class and the 8th grade class collected pop tabs for six weeks to see which class could collect the most. Their efforts will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities which offers families with hospitalized children a place to stay that is free of charge and close to the hospital.
