Colville Farmer’s Market is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Wednesday thru October. They are located at the corner of Third and Oak every Wednesday. The Colville Junior High Warriors held a pop tab collection competition as part of a school wide recycling program. The 7th grade class and the 8th grade class collected pop tabs for six weeks to see which class could collect the most. Their efforts will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities which offers families with hospitalized children a place to stay that is free of charge and close to the hospital.

The local community should tune into the new forest plan being developed for the Colville National Forest not only to ensure continued public use, but for the longevity of jobs in the area, according to Boise Cascade Inland Regional Manager, Tom Insko.
As the summer recreation season approaches on Lake Roosevelt, the Daisy Station store and fuel station are facing some serious challenges as the bank supporting the store structures slides off into the river.
The drastic erosion at the site has likely been caused due to rising lake water levels that have been over 1,287 feet for the last six years, according to a study done by Cunningham Engineers.
High school seniors from around the region will graduate in the next few days. In photo, 2011 Colville High School Valedictorian Dana Thompson (center) and Salutatorians Alyssa Heggenberger and Tiffany Wilks will lead their CHS class through commencement exercises on Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. Kettle Falls High School commencement exercises will be held June 4 at 6 p.m. At Republic, Selkirk and at Columbia River Christian Academy, seniors will receive their diplomas in ceremonies on Saturday at 1 p.m.
