Former Colville resident Arthur Maurice Cove, Jr., 62, of Yakima, passed away on Nov. 17, 2011 after his fourth battle with cancer. Art was born in Stockton, CA on August 18, 1949 to Florence and Arthur M. Cove, MD. He graduated from University of Southern California with a BS in Psychology and an MBA in Finance. He and his wife Katherine moved to Washington state in 1980.

Susan Elizabeth Adams, born Feb. 14, 1942 in Colburn, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 26, 2011.
She was the beloved mother of Kathleen Coffin and Jennifer Adams. Susan raised her girls as a single parent. She will always be admired by her children and being a mother and a father to both of them.
Margaret Ann (Twining) Walston, age 90, passed away unex¬pectedly of a stroke on December 2, 2011 in Colville. Born May 25, 1921 in Coulee City, she became the wife of Dale L. Walston of Colville in 1950 in Coulee City, and celebrated 61 years of marriage this past July.
Maxine Matlock, a longtime resident of Colville, passed away on Dec. 3, 2011 in Spokane at the age of 89. She was born on March 30, 1922 in Ryse, Missouri, the daughter of Mathis and Myrtle (Plank) Thomason.
Ida Hazel Green, 87, passed away on Nov. 25, 2011 in Colville.
She is survived by her children, Joan McCrea and Wesley (Bub) Green; son-in-law, Virgil Baumgarden; sisters, Ethel Howe of Spokane; Iona Hill, Hunters, and Jean Holland of Colville.
She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Alan Lee Miller, age 56, passed away on Nov. 24, 2011 at his mother’s home in Chewelah after a short battle with cancer. Alan was born on Dec. 1, 1954, the son of Raymond and Doro¬thy (Neufeld) Miller in Dallas, Oregon.
Upon completion of high school, he joined Local 2396, the “Pile-drivers,†and worked in bridge building and construction for over 30 years. After retirement, he purchased property north of Colville, a place he referred to as his “paradiseâ€.
