Duane Gates

June 5, 2012

Duane Preston Gates, age 69, passed away on May 29, 2012 in Colville. He was born on Oct. 26, 1942, the son of Lloyd WilÂŹliam and Rhoda Ann (Holcomb) Gates in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After high School, Duane enlisted in the United States Army and served for four years before receiving an Honorable DisÂŹcharge.
Duane was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He lived in Northern California and Phoenix, Arizona before relocating to Colville, where he met his wife, Barbara, on a blind date in 1986.
Per Duane’s request, there will be no service.

Stephen Kramer

Stephen F. Kramer’s exuberant and passionate life inspired many to reach their goals, challenge conventional thinking, and expand their career horizons. Steve battled valiantly and with great humor and patience to overcome a recurrence of lym¬phoma in recent months before passing peacefully out of pain at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane on May 14, 2012 with his wife and daughter nearby.

Marion Ethel Holland, age 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 31, 2012 at Pinewood Terrace, her home for the past few years.

Louise Mary Holdaway, a resident of Colville, passed peaceÂŹfully from her life on June 2, 2012 at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville. Louise was born on August 11, 1923 in Colville, the daughter of Richard and Katie (Paulson) Day.
