David Wingate passed away on August 16, 2013. He was born in Tacoma on July 14, 1947. He spent most of his youth in Boston and returned to the Seattle area after his service in the Army as a first lieutenant from 1965-1967. He attended University of Washington while he worked for Safeco Insurance and Seafirst Bank learning all things financial

Frances C. "Toots" Kaufman

Fran was born to Charles and Golda Mae (Town) Flugel in Colville and has resided in Puyallup since October 2001. Until two weeks ago, Fran lived independently, driving, cooking and traveling with friends. Fran graduated from Colville High and married Leonard A. Kaufman on July 1, 1939, in Colville.

Tipari Gould

Tipari (Mama) Gould of Rice passed away July 26, 2013 at her home with family. Mama Gould was born Tipari Aka in Hakamaii, Ua Pou, Marquises Island on Jan. 3, 1939 to Tahiakaukautous Aka and Maieua Aka.
Mama Gould immigrated to Hawaii in 1962, where she met and married Lloyd Gould in 1965. Besides being a loving wife and mother to two boys, she was well known for her bubbly personality and effervescent spirit in church and community circles.

Reginald Seyler

Reginald Charles Seyler passed away on August 3, 2013 in Inchelium. He was born the son of Charles and Alice (Stansger) Seyler on Sept. 25, 1920 in Inchelium. Reginald grew up and attended school in Inchelium.
Upon graduation from Inchelium High School, Reginald remained in the area and worked on the family farm, trimmed trees in the community and surrounding mountains, and drove school bus for the Inchelium School District. He lived in Seyler Valley for most of his working years until selling the farm and moving to Inchelium in 1974.

Joan “Mickey” Egland

Joan Egland passed away July 23, 2013 at the age of 77. She was born Sept. 28, 1935 to Albert (AP) and Elna Arlt in Ritzville, WA.
Joan graduated from Chewelah High School (Jenkins) in 1954. She then met and wed Wallace in 1955. Joan loved spending time with her grandchildren and having long conver¬sations with them as she was cooking, as they tried sneaking into the grandma’s candy drawer. She also enjoyed shopping, several different kinds of crafts, knitting, and diet Coke, her cats and dogs.

William Barclay

August 13, 2013

William Lawrence Barclay, age 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 30, 2013. Bill was a true blessing to Charles and Minnie Barclay, as he was their eighth and last child born on Veterans Day Nov. 11, 1927 Donnelly, MN.

Rosalie MacCary

August 2, 2013

Rosalie Agnes (Thorson Jenne) MacCary was born on Feb. 4, 1934 in Wenatchee, to Earl and Helen Marie (Jensen) Thorson. She passed away peacefully on July 17, 2013 in Spokane.
She touched the lives of many people in her work to provide services to the disabled, the blind and senior citizens, but her reach was so much more. She remembered everyone she met, and neighbors and acquaintances often became good friends.

Don Callan

L. Donohue (Don) Callan passed peacefully at his home in Selah on July 19, 2013.
Don was born in Northport in 1927 to Tom and Myrtle Callan. He grew up on the ranch on Kelly Hill and was a true cowboy. He loved his horses and dogs.
Don enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. in 1945 and served with honor in Hawaii, Okinawa and North China. Don loved this country and proudly flew his flag. He truly believed that we live in the greatest country in the world.
Don had many interests and loved adventure.

David Dixon

August 2, 2013

David B. Dixon ("THAT'S ALL FOLKS!") was born May 25, 1953 in Colville. He left us on July 15, 2013, at the beautiful Coeur d'Alene River in Kingston, Idaho.
David grew up in Colville and graduated from Colville High School in 1971. He was the "most skilled" finish carpenter around and worked for many general contractors around the area, as well as his own businesses. David was an outdoorsman to the max. He very much enjoyed camping, hiking and taking his snowmobile out--just being outdoors in general was a great pleasure to him.

Mervyn Hays

August 2, 2013

Mervyn Ellsworth Hays passed away peacefully on July 21, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Merv left this life and walked into the arms of his beloved wife Bette, who was waiting on the other side with a fishing rod in one hand and the keys to their motor home in the other! Merv was 84.
