Helen Crabtree

Helen Anne Crabtree, an 11-year resident of Colville, passed away on June 5, 2014 at the age of 94. Helen was born on June 16, 1919 in Gilbert, AZ, the daughter of Harry S. and Madge (Rowell) Holden.

Cora Morrison

Cora (Watson) Morrison, 78, spent nearly her whole life in Stevens County. She was born near Biarly on Bear Creek in what is now the Little Pend Oreille Wildlife Refuge. Except for a year or two in Missouri after her gradua¬tion from Colville High School, and seven years at Mondovi near Davenport, Cora called the Stevens County area her home.

Albert Carl Staehly, 92, passed away June 1, 2014 in Spo¬kane Valley. Albert was born July 7, 1921 to J. Law¬rence Staehly and Ruth Ann (Michael) Staehly and was raised on the family farm on Staehly Mountain in Ferry County. He attended Stony Acres School, District Number 19 (a one-room school house) and graduated from Colville High School in 1939.
Albert served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Betty (Askey) Staehly in 1948 and they re¬sided in Kettle Falls for 61 years before moving to Spokane Valley in 2010.
