Jacklyn (Jackie) Ann Bye, 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Jackie was born to Arnold and Mildred (Barden) Meckle on November 28, 1947 in Colville, and was raised by her mother Mildred and stepfather John Bye. She grew up in and around the Kettle Falls area and graduated from Kettle Falls High School in 1967.
Jackie loved the beautiful Northeast Washington area and continued to live in this area for most of her life. She held several jobs, but as of late worked at Wal-Mart.
Bryanna Lynn Sargent was born to Rich and Carol Sargent on November 4, 1995 in Seattle.
It was the start of 18 years of joy that was brought into their lives and the lives of many. On September 28, 2014, she was taken from us way too soon in an accident near Cusick.
She graduated from Selkirk High School in June 2014 with many accolades for her accomplishments. She was currently enrolled in school at North Idaho College in Coeur Dâ€™Alene, Idaho and trying to find her way to spread her amazing talents in this world.
Lyle was born on Nov. 8, 1927 in Burley, ID. to William Leslie and Virgie Judd Tadlock. Lyle was the youngest of five children: Wendell, Thelma, Roy, and Glenda.
After graduation from Burley High School, Lyle began a four-year career in the Army Air Corps. Although trained to be an Air Traffic Controller, Lyle spent most of his WWII career in Germany and France driving supplies and mail to desperate soldiers and surviving civilians.
On Sept. 10, 2014, with his family at his side, our beloved Steve passed on to his forever home where he will watch over all of us.
Steve was born on Feb. 12, 1948, the oldest of four children to John â€śJosephâ€ť and Marjorie Holcomb in Indianapolis, IN. From a very young age, Steve could be found in the garage tinkering or rebuilding something. Those who know Steve well, know he continued that interest throughout all his years.
Ronald Glen Olaf Curtiss, avid bowler, outdoorsman, pontoon boat captain, and accomplished fire boss, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 in Libby, MT at the age of 73.
Maxine V. Brauner passed away Sept. 10, 2014 at her daughterâ€™s home in Palm Desert, CA.
She is survived by her five children, Gayle, Dick, Rod, Dan Brauner and Ronna Jimenez; six grandchildren, Chelsea, Sean, Brooke, April Brauner, and Kyle and Samantha Jimenez; one brother, Ernie Meyer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Richard (Dick); by her parents, Otto and Iva Meyer; by a sister, Jean Stark, and by her brothers, Duke, Pete, Don, Roy and Dick Meyer.
Lawrence Aaron Mace left us all too early as the result of a car accident on Sept. 24, 2014. He has gone to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Through his life, Lawrence found great peace in Psalm 23. He always called it his verse.
Lawrence was born the son of Harold and Judy Mace on Feb. 1, 1964 in Colville. He was a blessing to his family. Lawrence attended elementary school in Orient, until his family relocated to Colville in the early 70â€™s, where he continued his education and graduated from Colville High School in 1982.
Darlene Marie Sublie (Hilstad) was born Oct 29, 1944 in Colville. She joined our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 69 on Sept.24,2014 in Yuba City, CA.
She attended all 12 years and graduated from high school at Kettle Falls. After high school, she lived the majority of her life in Washington State with her family. Her next phase of life had her settling in Yuba and Sutter Counties in California.
Catherine Seitters, a longtime resident of Colville, passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2014 at the age of 90. She was born on April 18, 1924 in White Swan to Frances and Anna (Queen) Leopardo.
Catherine lived in Lakeland Village with her family until moving to Spokane, where she lived for six years and worked in a nursing home. She later moved north, living and working at Loon Lake, Hunters and then to Colville in 1980.
Shirley Elizabeth Dodson was born Jan. 12, 1925 and went to her rest Sept. 19, 2014 with many of her family present.
Shirley was born to Claude and Leonie Wylie in Ft. Collins, CO. She was the youngest of four sisters: Helen, Iona and Earlene, all who preceded her in death. When she was three-years-old, the family moved to a ranch near Walden, CO, and relocated to the Colville area in 1935.
