Jerry Douglas Patterson, 72, of Papa’aloa, Hawaii, passed away on Sept.17, 2012 in Hilo, Hawaii.
Jerry was very clear on wanting to be cremated when he passed. His wishes were carried out at the Dodo Mortuary in Hilo, Hawaii. A memorial bonfire is being planned for Oct.13, 2012. Take a moment that day and give thought to his memory, if possible!
Mildred Clara Frazier, a resident of Colville, passed away on Oct. 1, 2012 at Pinewood Terrace Nursing Home in Colville. Mildred was born on May 27, 1925 in Hunters, the daughter of Ben B. Frazier (son of Walla Walla area pioneer, Cantrel R. Frazier) and Martha A. Stimpson (daughter of Abner B. Stimpson).
Mildred “Millie†was the youngest of nine children. On Jan. 1, 1950, Mildred’s mother, Martha, passed away and the Keller Ferry, “The Martha S,†was named in her memory.
John “Jack†Fletcher, a long-time resident of the Cedonia/Hunters area passed away, Sept. 30, 2012 at a Veteran’s Hospi¬tal in Los Angeles, California at the age of 90. Jack was born Oct. 5, 1921 in Mt. Hope. He was the fifth child of six children born to Roy and Muriel (Cornwall) Fletcher.
Anne M Vodnick, 94, passed away Oct. 4, 2012 in Colville.
She was born on July 22, 1918 in Eveleth, MN, the daughter of John and Katrina (Scrabec) Kotnick.
Anne was raised and attended school in the Eveleth area and continued to live there until she moved to Seattle in 1944. In June 1945, she married Joseph Vodnick and together they were blessed with 35 years of marriage. Anne moved to Colville in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; brothers, John Kotnick, Stanley Kotnick Antone Kotnick, Frank Kotnick, Joseph Kotnick and sister, Katherine Smith.

Pat is now in God’s memory as he fell asleep in death on Sept. 6, 2012 in Colville.
Pat was born to S.K. and Bonnie Patterson on July 19, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico. He met his wife Nancy in Del Norte, Colorado. They raised three sons in the Colville area.
Pat loved the outdoors. He was a logger most of his life. Pat loved hunting, fishing, camping, crabbing and cutting firewood.
Margelene L. Snyder went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in her home in Asotin. She died of natural causes at the age of 89.
She was the first born to Art and Ellen Earl, March 19, 1923, at the old Lewiston Hospital on Main Street. She attended schools at Tammany, and finished at Lewiston schools through 12th grade.
Donald Edward Bailey passed away Sept. 12 2012 in Bend, Oregon, from complications of emphysema and a lung infection. He was born Oct. 7, 1931, the second of four children born to Edward M. and Amelia Ruth (Sites) Bailey.Â
Phyllis Diane Schmidt, a lifelong resident of Colville, passed away on Sept. 19, 2012 in Colville at the age of 70. Phyllis was born on March 30, 1942, the daughter of Albert Branch and Clara Belle (Thompson) Williamson.
Phyllis Irene Ramble, longtime resident of Colville, passed away Sept. 19, 2012 at age 86. Phyllis was born March 19, 1926 in Kettle Falls to Clarence and Bessie (Alldredge) Cranston. Phyllis spent her youth on the family ranch on Sherman Creek, attending high school in Marcus and graduating in 1943.
Lydia Permelia Cranston passed away Sept.19, 2012 in Davenport at the age of 100. Lydia was born August 20, 1912 in her grandmother Bockemuehls house in Miles to Joseph Kuno and Marguerite (Harris) Mutterer.
Lydia lived with her family at Fort Spokane and attended grade school at Miles. At age 10, she and her family moved to Old Daisy when her father took over the mail route and later ran the Daisy Station and Post Office. Lydia finished grade school at old Daisy and graduated high school from Kettle Falls High in 1930.
