Donald Lewis Boeff, a longtime resident of Colville, went peacefully to heaven on June 15, 2013. He was 87-years-old. Don was born near Dexter, MN on August 13, 1925, to Wil¬helm and Paulina (Zeh) Boeff. He graduated from high school at the age of 16 and went on to graduate with a B.S. degree in pre-med from Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania. Don also served in the U.S. Navy and was a WWII Veteran.

Suzanne Kaye-Cox

The family of Suzanne M. Kaye-Cox would like to invite friends and loved ones to join in a celebration of her life Sunday, June 23 at the Gilbert Pavilion on the west side of Colville City Park.
The ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m., and there will be a potluck reception following. Bring your favorite memories!

Kay Paparich

Kay (Lael) Paparich, 87, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2013 at the family home in Northport, surrounded by her children.
Kay Paparich was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Valentine’s Day in 1926. Kay was just a youngster when her family moved from North Carolina to Flat Creek. When she was a teenager, her parents, brothers and sister returned to North Carolina, but Kay remained, the victim of love; she had met Louie Paparich. She lived with her Aunt Dora and Uncle Dan Lael and their children became like siblings to her.

John Neville Bell

John Neville Bell was born on June 13, 1947 in Ephrata and passed away on May 29 in Spokane, WA. John was the second of three sons and two daughters born to Frank A. Bell, who returned to Ephrata after serving in the Merchant Marine following WW II to become a successful businessman and prominent member of the community, and Sadie Bell, both of whom are deceased. John shared his father’s love of the outdoors becoming an expert hunter and fisherman devoting much of his life to the pursuit of his passion for nature.

Gladys Harsin

Gladys I. Harsin passed away June 4, 2013 at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville at the age of 96. Gladys was born at the family homestead in Banner County Nebraska on Jan. 17, 1917 to Thomas W. G. and Eula (Cronn) Cox.

Jim was born on January 14th, 1951 to his parents, James H. Horgdal and Iris Corrienne Mills Horgdal in Centralia, and passed away on June 17, 2013 in Billings, MT. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Colville, where he spent most of his childhood with his older sister, Shari, and his younger sister, Neila.
He married Jane Thompson, his first wife, in 1968 and she soon gave birth to his first son, Michael Shane. A daughter, Teena Marie, followed.
Later, he and Jane divorced.

Gerald Knapp

Gerald Merton Knapp, 77, of Clarkston, passed away May 24, 2013 at his home. He was born April 28, 1936, to Oak and Mary (Hansen) Knapp in Orofino. He attended Colville High School and was in the graduating class of 1954. Gerald attended Washington State University and graduated from there in 1958 with a degree in civil engineering. He was in the National Guard in 1958.
Gerald married Judith Ann (Judy) Sieger April 8, 1962 in Colville. She passed away Oct. 17, 2010.
He married Diane Gentry Rodakowski Sept. 22, 2012 in Coeur d’Alene.

Robert Ruff

Robert Ellis Ruff passed away on May 4, 2013 in Evans. He was born the son of Reuben and Edna Ruff on Jan. 12, 1919 in Montpelier, MN. Robert was best known in the community as “Grandpa” or “Cowboy Bob.” He would always greet you with a smile.

Nathalie Harris

Nathalie Ella Harris was welcomed into the loving arms of her family at 4:27 p.m. on May 21, 2013 in Spokane.
Her grace and presence filled the room and touched the lives of those present for only an hour before she answered the call of her Lord and Savior. The love she offered began at the mo¬ment of her conception and gave hope, future dreams and the promise of new life for over 25-weeks. She leaves im¬measur¬able faith in the promise that her family will see her again in the arms of Jesus.
