L. Donohue (Don) Callan passed peacefully at his home in Selah on July 19, 2013.
Don was born in Northport in 1927 to Tom and Myrtle Callan. He grew up on the ranch on Kelly Hill and was a true cowboy. He loved his horses and dogs.
Don enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. in 1945 and served with honor in Hawaii, Okinawa and North China. Don loved this country and proudly flew his flag. He truly believed that we live in the greatest country in the world.
Don had many interests and loved adventure.
David B. Dixon ("THAT'S ALL FOLKS!") was born May 25, 1953 in Colville. He left us on July 15, 2013, at the beautiful Coeur d'Alene River in Kingston, Idaho.
David grew up in Colville and graduated from Colville High School in 1971. He was the "most skilled" finish carpenter around and worked for many general contractors around the area, as well as his own businesses. David was an outdoorsman to the max. He very much enjoyed camping, hiking and taking his snowmobile out--just being outdoors in general was a great pleasure to him.
Mervyn Ellsworth Hays passed away peacefully on July 21, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Merv left this life and walked into the arms of his beloved wife Bette, who was waiting on the other side with a fishing rod in one hand and the keys to their motor home in the other! Merv was 84.
David â€śSonnyâ€ť Loyal Hallam, age 79, a lifetime resident of the Kettle Falls and Colville communities, passed away on July 23, 2013 at his home. Dave was born on June 16, 1934 in Old Kettle Falls, the son of Loyal O. and Ellen (Hockersmith) Hallam.
Christopher Keith Markham passed away on June 28, 2013 at the age of 29. Chris was born Sept. 13, 1983 in Burien. He was the first of two sons of Keith and Vivian Markam of Colville.
He moved to the Colville area 16 years ago. He went to Onion Creek School, excelling in many subjects, including math, English and Japanese. Chris and his brother Matt loved sports and both played baseball for Northport High School.
Donna jean (Schoppe) Palm passed away on Jan. 8, 2013 in Lacey. She was born December 1932 at home in Olympia. The family will hold a celebration of her life on July 20 at around 4 p.m. at one of their most memorable locations, Haags Cove. They will be camping there all weekend, so please come by and share your memories of this beloved lady with them.
Michael (Mike) Ray Hammond, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2013 surrounded by loved ones at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital, Colville. Mike was born Jan 12, 1947 to Tommy and Ruth (Cline) Hammond. He graduated from Kettle Falls High School in 1964.
Larch Floyd Harris, 45, died, June 23, 2013 in Colville. He was born on March 7, 1969 to Karen Joanne Harris and Floyd Richard Harris. He graduated from Colville High School, where he participated in football, wrestling and track and field.
After high school, Larch attended Wyoming Auto Mechanic Trade School. His work career took him many paths, including mechanic, paving, construction and truck driving. His family labeled him a â€śjack of all tradesâ€ť.
Kim Stefan Alldredge passed away on July 3, 2013 in NorthÂ¬port. He was born the son of Ezra Weldon and Carol Noel (Bennett) Alldredge on Sept. 8, 1951 in Spokane.
Kim moved from Algona to Colville in the spring of 1974 with his wife Pamella Sweet and their two daughters, Donquel and Carrie. A couple years later, the family was blessed with anÂ¬other daughter, Amber.
A remembrance-wake will be held Saturday, July 13, 12 p.m., at the Northport Grange. The family of John Bell invites everyone to join them in a celebration of his fun and happy life. A pig roast and potluck reception will follow the ceremony.
