Jane E. Grover, 81, of Colville, died Oct. 22, 2014 at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1933, in Ottawa County to the late Glen and Helen (Bertrand) Freeman.
She married Herman Dale â€śDutchâ€ť Bower in 1952. He died on Jan. 25, 1993. She then married Lloyd John Grover in 1977. He died on May 30, 1992.
Mrs. Grover was a member of the Colville 1st Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Colville).
She loved playing cards, doing word find puzzles, shopping, yard sales and riding with her son, David, on his Harley.
Richard â€śDickâ€ť Eugene Murphy, a long time resident of the Colville area, passed away on October 29, 2014. Dick was born on August 29, 1928 in San Jose, CA, the son of George and Kathryn (Branch) Murphy.
Dick was raised and attended school in San Jose. After receiving his Bachelorâ€™s Degree from San Jose State College, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country for four years. On June 19, 1954 Dick married Donna Joanne Van Horn. He worked for General Petroleum for two years, and then worked as a Housing Administrator for his alma mater, San Jose State College.
Steven Hugh McKenzie, 49 of Metaline passed away at home Oct. 27, 2014 surrounded by family that loved him.
Steven was born at Mt Linton Hospital in Metaline Falls to Karl and Yvonne (Zimmerman) McKenzie on Nov. 23, 1964.
Since the 70â€™s, Steven was at almost every Selkirk High School sporting event and was the manager/assistant coach for nearly all Selkirk sports teams. He was passionate about all sports and managed the basketball teams for 28 years.
Joseph Samuel Black passed away on October 29, 2014 in Colville. He was born the son of Edward and Gladys (Nagle) Black on May 2, 1941 in Deer Lodge, MT.
Gladys and stepfather George Black, raised Joe in the Butte, MT area where he attended school. After graduating from high school, Joe was employed at several mines in the Butte area, including the Berkeley Pit. He also worked for Harkins Dept. store and was a well-known sewing machine salesman and repairman.
Ira â€śIkeâ€ť Boggess, 92, of Lynnwood, , passed away on Oct. 18, 2014.
He was born Oct. 28, 1921 in Colville, the son of the late George and Carrie Boggess. He was the second youngest of eight siblings, including three brothers and four sisters. He left home at 18, joined the Navy and served in both the European and Pacific Theatres during World War II. He took part in the D-day Invasion at Normandy in 1944.
Everett Edward Grimm, 100-years-old of Addy, passed away Oct. 29, 2014. The son of Clara E. (Couch) and Harry Alvin Grimm, he was born October 25,1914 in Fairfield, ID.
Everettâ€™s family left Fairfield, ID in 1920 and moved to Richland, WA. At age 12 he started to play his guitar at dances with his parents. Everett attended Grade School and High School in Richland. He enjoyed swimming, and ice skating.
Born July 23, 1978, Jason Todd Titmus passed away suddenly and way too soon on Oct 18, 2014 in Big Sky, Montana.
Jason is survived by his parents, Caroline and Terry Titmus; his brothers, Joshua, Jennifer and their sons, William and Dakota of Kettle Falls; Braden, Jennifer and their children, Kolee and Connor, Colville; his fiancĂ©e, Eva Ocvirk of Slovenia, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brenda Mae McLean, 55, passed away September 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born August 4, 1959, in Colville to Ronald and Shyla (Byrd) McLean.
She was preceded in death by her parents and uncles, Stanley McLean and Irvin McLean.
She loved taking care of her yard and listening to the wind chimes.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Brenda is survived by her partner, Mary Stauffer, Licking, MO; brother, Randy (Janiece) McLean, Evans; sister, Shannan (Jeff) Hughes, Evans, a niece, and nephews.
