Duwaine Prater Brookover, age 72, of Colville, went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2013. He was born March 15, 1941 in Parkersburg, West Virginia the son of Donald Leach and Vesta Alice (Thorn) Brookover.
Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Aileen Cecilla (Oâ€™Daniel), passed peacefully on April 12, 2013, three weeks short of her 101st Birthday! What a grand and wonderful life she lived.
She is survived by her three children, Rodney, (Bellevue); his spouse, Carol, Susan (Denver, CO); her spouse, Jim and Timothy (Tucson, AZ): his spouse, Peggy , Aileenâ€™s sister, Joan McRae, seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
Her husband of 45 years, Charles preceded her in death.
Dorothy Mertle Ludeman, the youngest of four daughters and longtime resident of Stevens County, passed away on May 8, 2013 at the age of 90. Dorothy was born on Sept. 28, 1922 to Howard W. and Ella (Wareheim) Seaman. She was born and raised on the family farm on Kelly Hill near Barstow.
Bernard Bruce Cullers, a seven-year resident of Colville, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2013 at his home. Bernard was born on November 10, 1942 in Seattle to Ivan and Verdie (McLeland) Cullers. He attended and graduated from Pendleton High School in Pendleton, OR, in 1961.
He later enlisted in the Army in 1963 and served in the National Guard until he was honorably discharged in 1968.
Regina (Michelle) Sikorski passed away April 25. 2013 at Kootenai Memorial Hospital in Coeur dâ€™Alene, ID. She was born June 17, 1970 in San Bernardino, CA.
Michelle Graduated from Spokane Community College Colville Center and then went to work in the office at the college, She later transferred to Spokane Falls Community College in Spokane.
Michelle was a bun loving, high energy, hard-working woman. She loved animals, especially her little dog, Mario. Everyone who knew her will miss her.
She was a member of the Colville Eagles Lodge and the Immaculate Conception Church.
Nathan Dale Rollins passed away on April 29, 2013 in Colville. He was born the son of Nathan and Cynthia (Hoke) Rollins on July 1, 1936 in Doty.
Dale worked for the United States Forest Service in Colville for 23 years, and spent many years working at Plum Creek Lumber in Arden as a Logging Administrator.
Elizabeth Helen Egger passed away in Colville on May 2, 2013. She was born the daughter of Phillip Francis and Ellen Teresa (Murray) Buckley on March 4, 1923 in Havre, MT. She was the youngest of seven children. After high school, she attended and graduated from Kinmanâ€™s Business College in Spokane. Helen married Louis Egger on December 1, 1942. Louis was a mortician and co-owned Moser-Egger Funeral Home, and later Louis and Helen owned and operated Egger Furniture. Helen and Louis had seven children, three of whom preceded her in death in early childhood.
William Allan â€śBillâ€ť Lotze, a lifetime resident of the Colville area, passed away on May 1, 2013 in Colville. Bill was born on October 11, 1931 in Colville, the son of Harry and Jesse (Welch) Lotze.
Bill graduated from Colville High School in 1949. After graduation he began his career in logging. Over the years Bill began purchasing equipment and eventually operated his own business. On October 4, 1979 he married Marie Crabtree in Colville. He continued in the timber industry until his retirement in November 1994.
Arthur Paul Ott, longtime resident of Stevens County, passed away at home near Chewelah on April 30, 2013. He was 96. Arthur was born on October 28, 1916 in Ritzville to Albert and Elsie (Wellsandt) Ott,
Kelly Lynn Palumbo, a lifetime resident of the Colville area, passed away very peacefully in Chewelah at the age of 53. She was born on March 24, 1960 in Colville, the daughter of, Howard and Eileen (Brown) Kaiser.
Kelly was raised and attended school in Kettle Falls and graduated from Kettle Falls High School in 1978. After graduation, she attended Eastern Washington University where she obtained her Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Education with a Reading Major and a Math Minor.
