Dwight (Pat) Patterson

September 26, 2012

Pat is now in God’s memory as he fell asleep in death on Sept. 6, 2012 in Colville.
Pat was born to S.K. and Bonnie Patterson on July 19, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico. He met his wife Nancy in Del Norte, Colorado. They raised three sons in the Colville area.
Pat loved the outdoors. He was a logger most of his life. Pat loved hunting, fishing, camping, crabbing and cutting firewood.

Margelene L. Snyder

Margelene L. Snyder went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in her home in Asotin. She died of natural causes at the age of 89.
She was the first born to Art and Ellen Earl, March 19, 1923, at the old Lewiston Hospital on Main Street. She attended schools at Tammany, and finished at Lewiston schools through 12th grade.

Donald Bailey

Donald Edward Bailey passed away Sept. 12 2012 in Bend, Oregon, from complications of emphysema and a lung infection.  He was born Oct. 7, 1931,  the second of four children born to Edward M. and Amelia Ruth (Sites) Bailey. 

Phyllis Schmidt

Phyllis Diane Schmidt, a lifelong resident of Colville, passed away on Sept. 19, 2012 in Colville at the age of 70. Phyllis was born on March 30, 1942, the daughter of Albert Branch and Clara Belle (Thompson) Williamson.

Phyllis Irene Ramble

Phyllis Irene Ramble, longtime resident of Colville, passed away Sept. 19, 2012 at age 86. Phyllis was born March 19, 1926 in Kettle Falls to Clarence and Bessie (Alldredge) Cranston. Phyllis spent her youth on the family ranch on Sherman Creek, attending high school in Marcus and graduating in 1943.

Lydia Cranston

Lydia Permelia Cranston passed away Sept.19, 2012 in Davenport at the age of 100. Lydia was born August 20, 1912 in her grandmother Bockemuehls house in Miles to Joseph Kuno and Marguerite (Harris) Mutterer.
Lydia lived with her family at Fort Spokane and attended grade school at Miles. At age 10, she and her family moved to Old Daisy when her father took over the mail route and later ran the Daisy Station and Post Office. Lydia finished grade school at old Daisy and graduated high school from Kettle Falls High in 1930.

John Acorn

Local businessman and one of the Colville community’s most loyal supporters, John Patrick Acorn, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Sept. 23, 2012. John was born on Jan. 11, 1943 in Colville to Helen and Archie Acorn. He graduated from Colville High School in 1961. John had a happy childhood, spending summers at the family cabin on the Little Pend Oreille Lakes. He and his brothers never missed the first day of fishing. John loved swimming and riding his horse. He also loved playing football in high school.

Dorothy Elizabeth Young passed away in Colville on Sept. 19, 2012 at the age of 91. She was born the daughter of Ezra and Anna (Warfel) Lehman on March 30, 1921 in Christiana, PA.

Randal Mead

September 17, 2012

 
Randy Mead died unexpectedly on August 5, 2012 from a massive coronary event at his home in Slocan, BC. He was born Nov. 5, 1954.
Randy was most widely known as an extraordinary flutist, multi-instrumentalist and recording artist, as well as a film and film-score producer. Randy was also an inventor of musical instruments that employed ancient tuning systems and a pioneer of world fusion music, augmenting his classical training.

Laura Beatrice (Leonard) Schwab passed away in Colville on Sept. 9, 2012 at the age of 90. She was born the daughter of Glenn E. and Maude E. (Fish) Leonard, in Ba­yard, Nebraska on Feb. 28, 1922.
