Rick was born Feb. 26, 1949 and passed away Aug. 9, 2012 surrounded by his loving family and holding his wifeâs hand. He died from complications of a bone morrow transplant and a long battle against chronic lymphocytic lymphoma (LLC).
Rick is survived by his wife Kitty, daughter Katye, son John, father Frank and sister Shelley.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother Betty, brother, Frank and son, Rex.
Abner Alfred Bott placed his hands in the hands of his Savior Jesus and entered his heavenly home on July 24, 2012. He was a longtime resident of Pocatello, Idaho and passed away in Chewelah at the age of 98. Abner was born on the family farm near Donnybrook, North Dakota the son of Valentine and Emma (Schwede) Bott.
A memorial service and scattering of ashes will be held August 25, 2012 at 3 p.m. to celebrate the lives of Kenneth and Monica Eberhard, of Colville on the stone bridge that Ken built on their property at 514 Gold Creek Loop.
Ken was a teacher in the Colville School District, and after retiring, worked a few years for the Department of Natural Resources. Monica worked in retail for a few years on Colvilleâs main street. They loved to dance, and were avid members of both the Miss-n-Links and the Square Wheelers Square Dance Clubs.
Margaret Pauline Merle, 90,Â died August 4, 2012 at a local assisted living home in Meridian, Idaho. Arrangements by Boise Funeral Home, Aclesa Chapel.
Wayne Marvin Grandle, a longtime resident of Colville, passed away on Aug. 2, 2012 in Spokane at the age of 96. Wayne was born on September 14, 1915 in Monmouth, KS the son of George Lewis and Aura (Morgan) Grandle.
Fred Lee Lotze passed away at his home on August 12, 2012 after a battle with cancer. He and his twin brother Ted were born on April 8, 1934 to Harry O. and Jesse (Welch) Lotze in Colville. He was the grandson of Stevens County pioneers and Onion Creek homesteaders Ernst and Marie (Najork) Lotze. He attended school at Onion Creek through grade eight and graduated from Northport High School with the class of 1953. In 1951 Fredâs father was fatally injured in a logging accident and his mother passed away shortly afterwards from a stroke.
David âDaveâ Francis Stensgar, a lifetime resident of Inchelium, passed away on August 10, 2012 while visiting the Two Rivers Casino near Fort Spokane. Dave was born on November 29, 1931 in Inchelium, the son of Fredrick and Mary (Meusy) Stensgar.
Wayne Grandle, age 96, a resident of Colville, passed away on August 2 in Colville. Wayne is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Zoodsma and her husband, Larry, Colville; son, Marvin Grandle and his wife, Vida, Molalla, OR; sister Maxine Grandle, Columbus, KS; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Wayne Grandle will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 10 at the Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Colville.

Danael D. M. Dorman of Colville passed away in his familyâs home, on July 10 at the age of 23.
He was born in Doylestown, PA and lived in Richlandtown, PA and later near Colville.
Charles Ray Curtis passed away at his home in Lehi, Utah on August 1, 2012 at the age of 84. He was born the son of Ray Lawrence and Ida Faye Curtis on Dec. 6, 1927 in Palouse. He graduated from Colville High School and later married Elizabeth May Gallaway.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a jack of all trades, working as an electrician, saw filer, mechanic and millwright with Arden Lumber. He worked for 12 years as a millwright at Northwest Alloys, Inc. He taught hydraulics at Spokane Community College.
