Freda P. Weaver, a 48-year resident of Colville, passed away on July 1, 2012 in Colville at the age of 92. Freda was born on Nov. 11, 1919 in Leadpoint near Northport. Freda was the ssevÂŹenth of ten children born to Andrew and Emma Pfeiffer.
She grew up at Cedar Creek and attended school in NorthÂŹport. Freda graduated as Valedictorian of Northport High School in 1936. She graduated as a secretary and studied acÂŹcounting from Kinman Business University. Freda then began work for the Washington State Department of Welfare.
Agnes Evelene âGrannyâ Thompson, 85, passed away at her home, June 30, 2012 in Hunters. She was born June 6, 1927 in Rosalia to John and Minnie (Kuehl) OâHalloran.
Dennis Dean Ferguson, a resident of Kettle Falls, passed away on July 4, 2012 in Colville at the age of 63. Dennis was born on Feb. 9, 1949 in Colville, the son of Frank Esco and MilÂŹdred Louise (Hanlin) Ferguson.
He was raised in Colville, where he attended school and graduated as a 12-year senior from Colville High School in 1967. Dennis then attended Wenatchee Valley College for one year before transferring to Eastern Washington University.
Ada May Yankus, passed away on July 1, 2012 at Buena Vista Retirement Center in Colville at the age of 79.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and making blankets, doilies and baby outfits. Ada also loved canning and baking. She won numerous ribbons at the Northeast Washington Fair. She grew beautiful flowers and loved her roses. She loved hummingbirds and enjoyed watching them.
Ada was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and lived in Colville for 48 years. She will be missed by many.
Chasity Jean Bennington passed away in Colville at the age of 42. She was born on May 1, 1970, the daughter of Ramey and Kathryn (Dobbins) Bennington in La Mirada, CA.
Chasity grew up in Tuolumne, CA and graduated in 1987 from Laserna High School in California. After high school, ChaÂŹsity attended and graduated from a Trade School in Los Angles, CA, receiving a degree in Computer Science.
In her spare time, Chasity enjoyed art, cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Marilyn Louise Price passed away June 24, 2012 at the age of 75. She was born on Nov. 19, 1936, in Colville to Ralph and Elsie (Frostad) Kifer.
Marilyn was raised in the Kettle Falls area and attended school in Marcus, graduating from Marcus High School in 1952 as valedictorian. She married Jerry Price a few months before she graduated. In 1963 she and Jerry moved to Seattle, where they lived until 1992.
Shirley Allene Stelzer, a longtime resident of Kettle Falls, passed away on June 28, 2012 in Colville at the age of 83. Shirley was born in Deer Park, the daughter of Luther Briggs and Hattie Goldie (Post) Merrill.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Crouch, Kettle Falls; son, Jason Stelzer, Kettle Falls; and by grandchildren Robert Reed, Spokane; Hatti Balcom, Kettle Falls; Angie Crouch, Kettle Falls; Misty Nichols Norman, Valley; Jason Stevens, Spokane; Clover Garman, Spokane; Lukus Nichols, California, along with several great-grandchildren.
Anita Marion Thelma Wildes passed away at her home in Colville on June 15, 2012 at the age of 89 after a lengthy illness. She was born to Rasmus and Nettie (Fosen) Malde in her parentâs home in Poulsbo on Oct. 19, 1922 and attended school in Poulsbo. She graduated from North Kitsap High School. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage.
She married Harry Julian Wildes Jr. on August 15, 1941 at Poulsbo Lutheran Church, spending 52 years of marriage raising their children in Poulsbo and Bremerton. She retired on Lindsay Beach in Quilcene.
Jack Jacobi Coe, Sr. died June 3, 2012, with his children by his side. He was 88.
Jack lived in Camarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Robinson Coe, and by a son Cary Carson Coe.
He is survived by his children, Jack Jr., Holly, and Jonathan, âby his brother Robertâ; by seven grandchildren and by three great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, a dedicated father, a superlative uncle and a proud grandfather. His faith in God was evident throughout his life.
Floyd Leonard (Lenny) McDaniels passed away on May 28 at the age of 53. He was a graduate of Kettle Falls High School (class of 1977). Floyd lived in New York and Texas before making Seattle his home. He spent several years working for the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle. He worked there until his death. Lenny was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and by his mother, Viola, and by two brothers, David and George. Lenny is survived by five sisters, Barbra, Janet, Leona, Ton and Mari, as well as by one brother, Carl.
