Jerald McGrew

October 6, 2014

Jerry McGrew of Prosser passed away Sep. 15, 2014 at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jerry was born April 13, 1940, in Mabton.
He is survived by his sons, Greg G. McGrew of Colville and Gary G. McGrew of Seattle; his significant other, Rae Martin of Prosser; sisters, Marsha Fox of Rice and Debbie Georgariou of Mead, and seven grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Sue, and by sisters, Belva, Donna and Jean.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at his home on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m.

Cleveland Miller

Cleveland Wilbur Miller, a 14-year resident of Colville, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 14, 2014 at the age of 70. He was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania to Edward and Margaret Miller.
Cleveland was raised in Pennsylvania and shortly after high school he served in the United States Air Force. After his time in the Air Force, Cleveland relocated to Monterey, California, where he started attending community college. He later started his long career with Pacific Bell Telephone Company, where he met his future wife of 31 years.

Vernon Holter

September 16, 2014

Just nine days shy of his 77th birthday, Vernon Paul “Sonny” Holter changed his address to heaven on Sept. 3, 2014. Unable to recover after a fall resulting in a head injury, Vern passed away in Spokane. Vern was born on Sept. 12, 1937, to Iola (Geer) and Albert “Dutch” Holter in Aberdeen.

Dude Thiele

Dude (Arthur) Thiele passed away at his home in Curlew on Sept. 3, 2014. He was born in Spokane on March 25, 1927 to Arthur and Helen Thiele, second born of five children. Like so many other young men in his day, Dude graduated from 8th grade, worked various jobs in and around his community and then entered into military service starting September 1945 with the Navy and later completing his duty with the Army in 1948.
He married the love of his life, Leola Buckner, in 1950. Who, in Dude’s own words, was “a looksome and likeable girl…a keeper for sure.”

Paul Witter

Paul Earl Witter was born on August 18, 1942 and passed away on Sept. 5 in Mesa, AZ.
Paul is survived by his wife, Belinda Witter, at the home; a son, Jeff Witter and significant other, Dee, Seattle; a daughter, Lea Anne Bush and husband Don, Seattle; sisters, Sandra and husband Mike Novakovich, Spokane; Linda McKinley, Spokane; his brothers, Jim Witter and wife Julie, Colville; Chuck Witter, Colville, and two grandchildren, Annie and Curtis Bush.
Paul also had many close friends from across the country.
