Harriett May Christensen, 76, has left to be with “Daddy.”
She passed away in Spokane on Dec. 8, 2012 after fighting back to health many times in the last few years.
As a young adult, she lived in Spokane until 1969 when the family moved to Moses Lake. Harriett, or Hattie to some, was full of spunk and energy. She was always busy crafting and sewing, cooking or volunteering.
Helen Francis Herman, a 15-year resident of Colville, passed away on Jan. 4, 2013 in Colville. Helen was born on Aug. 16, 1914 in Mountain Home, Idaho, the youngest of six children to Thomas W. and Elma N. Moore.
George William Anderson, a longtime resident of the Colville area, passed away on January 4, 2013 in Seattle at the age of 82. George was born in Colville on June 14, 1930, the son of Thomas Troy and Minnie Marie (Choate) Anderson.
He attended school in Marcus and then began working with his father to support their family at their Deer Creek sawmill. On Jan. 8, 1953, George enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in December 1954. He returned to Northeast Washington and worked as a tree faller for Alan For¬gey Logging.
Diana Lynn Turner, a resident of Colville, passed away on Dec. 30, 2012 at the age of 52. Diana was born on Nov. 2, 1960, in San Francisco, California to Robert and Dixie (Dunham) Hamre.
Carol Jane (Holterhoff) Boyd passed away on Jan. 1, 2013. Carol was an 18-year resident of Colville. She was born the daughter of Robert A. and Jane E. (Fox) Holterhoff on May 26, 1935 in Okanogan. Carol spent much of her youth in Holden, at the end of Lake Chelan, where her father worked for Howe Sound Mine. She attended school in Holden until the eighth grade and finished her high school education at the Annie Wright Seminary in Tacoma.

Kenneth Bruce Howell, a longtime Colville resident, passed away in Colville on Jan. 1, 2013 at the age of 72. He was born the son of Byron and Agnes (Carlson) Howell on Sept. 21, 1940 in Colville.
Kenneth grew up in Colville, and after graduating from Colville High School, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. Following his honorable discharge from the Coast Guard, Kenneth attended college in Yakima, receiving his associate degree. While in college, Kenneth enrolled in flying lessons and received his pilot’s license.
George William Anderson, a resident of Colville, passed away on Jan. 4, 2013, at the age of 82. George was the oldest of 11 children. He was born on June 14, 1930 in Colville to Thomas Troy and Minnie Marie (Choate) Anderson.
Donna Lea Olson passed away in Colville on Dec. 27, 2012 at the age of 81. She was born the daughter of Roy Kenneth and Velma Irene (Logsdon) Boyle on June 11, 1931 in Nebo, Illinois. Donna was a Colville High School graduate, Class of 1949.

Theodore “Bud” L. Clark, age 79, a lifetime resident of the Kettle Falls area, passed away on Dec. 27, 2012 at his Ket¬tle Falls home. Bud was born on March 8, 1933 in Colville, the son of Theodore Roosevelt and Elizabeth Marie (Arnold) Clark. He was a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes (Lakes Band) and a Native veteran from the Korean War.
On Dec. 25, 2012, Arthur Lee Millay went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Lee was born in Spokane on June 11, 1924 to Rolland and Dorothy Millay.
