Stephen F. Kramerâs exuberant and passionate life inspired many to reach their goals, challenge conventional thinking, and expand their career horizons. Steve battled valiantly and with great humor and patience to overcome a recurrence of lymÂŹphoma in recent months before passing peacefully out of pain at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane on May 14, 2012 with his wife and daughter nearby.
Marion Ethel Holland, age 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 31, 2012 at Pinewood Terrace, her home for the past few years.
Louise Mary Holdaway, a resident of Colville, passed peaceÂŹfully from her life on June 2, 2012 at Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville. Louise was born on August 11, 1923 in Colville, the daughter of Richard and Katie (Paulson) Day.
Frances Leona Robinson passed away in Colville on May 15, 2012. She was born on April 14, 1924, the daughÂŹter of Walter and Leona (Connarroe) Ryan in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Frances grew up in Colorado Springs, where she attended and graduated from school. After graduÂŹating from high school, she moved to Chino, California, where she worked in a factory during World War II. After the war, Frances went to work for General Electric in Ontario, CaliforÂŹnia and was with the comÂŹpany for 37 years as an inspector.
Georgia Verna Strope, age 94, went home to be with The Lord on May 22, 2012. She was born on Sept.27, 1917, the daughter of Elmer and Jennie (Legett) Stubblefield in Prosser.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandÂŹmother. In her spare time, Georgia enjoyed fishing and making crafts. Georgia will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Georgia is survived by her sons,, Ron Strope and wife Ellen, Kettle Falls; Richard Strope and wife Benita, Poulsbo; and nuÂŹmerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lily Florence Aubert, a resident of Colville, passed away on May 18, 2012 in Colville at the age of 94. Florence was born on May 27, 1917 in Warden, Idaho, the daughter of Ray and Florence (Ridout) Yount.
Her growing years were spent in Kellogg, Idaho, where she attended school and graduated from high school. On June 4, 1939, Florence married Lloyd V. Aubert in Kellogg. They began their life together in Warden and then moved to San Diego, CA during Lloydâs service in the U.S. military.
Scott Barnett Rogers passed away at his home in Gig Harbor on May 21, 2012.
Scott was born Sept. 11, 1963 to Richard (Dick) and Beverly Rogers, who divorced shortly after. As a child, Scott spent much time with his dadâs family and his beloved grandma, Aunt Kay and Uncle Joe. He attended school in Port Orchard, Gig Harbor and finally, Colville.
Scott was always a prankster and loved to make people laugh. He loved to tell stories and pull pranks on his siblings and cousins, something he never outgrew.
Holding his wife, Bessâ, hand with many family members by his side, Tuney Chapman passed on May 14, 2012, in Spokane, Washington. Born at home on Dec. 9, 1932 in Colville, Washington, Tuney is survived by his sisters Irene, Sylvia, Sarah, Anna, Louise and brother William. Tuney grew up loving the land. He enjoyed outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing and camping. He graduated from Colville High in 1950 and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
On May 14, 2012, while resting under his favorite tree, Maury began his journey to Heaven. He was assisted in his journey by his trusted friend, Dr. Venable.
Loved ones were at his side to kiss him and say goodbye for now.
There were tears shed and amusing stories told.
All in all, it was a good thing. He no longer has to put on a brave face. He now can smile and run free. He can eat everything he desires!
John Paul Day of Colville passed away May 18, 2012 at the age of 95 years of age. Johnny was born Oct. 11, 1916 at home in Bruce Creek (Dry Lake area).
Johnny would ride his horse to the country school, along with his two brothers and five sisters.
Johnny met his wife, Elsie Barton, at a Saturday night dance at the âWigwamâ which was the Colville Valley Grange on Williams Lake Road.
Johnny and Elsie were married on Feb. 12, 1941 and celebrated 71 years of marriage in February. What a tribute to the both of them for a long, loving and successful marriage.
