Maxine Pitts

Maxine Mae Pitts was born to Harry and Ivy Rodenbough in a small farmhouse in Cedonia on Oct. 29, 1923. She grew up with her three brothers, Maynard, Elton and Hugh and her two sisters, Epal and Lois. She attended the Cedonia Church and graduated from Columbia High School in 1941.
After graduation, Maxine and her sister, Lois, met best friends Gregg Pitts and Jim Peters of Rice. In March 1942, both couples were married in Seattle.

Aaron Huff

Aaron Gabriel Huff, a lifetime resident of Stevens County, passed away on Jan. 24, 2014 at the age of 32 in Chewelah. He was born Nov. 8, 1981 to Mike and Elaine Huff in Colville. He attended Colville schools and graduated in 2000. He also received his AA degree from Spo¬kane Community College and was currently employed by Hewes Craft in Colville.
Aaron was born the 10th of 12 children. He was full of life and enjoyed being part of a large family. He had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Aaron had a deep passion for music and it showed in the songs he wrote.

Christopher Clash

Christopher J. Clash, a resident of Spokane, passed away on Jan. 23, 2014 in Spokane at the age of 50. Chris was born on Sept. 30, 1963 in New Jersey, the son of C. Henry and Jean V. Clash.

F. Douglas Franz

Douglas Franz, a longtime resident of Colville, passed away on Jan. 26, 2014 in Spokane at the age of 67. Doug was born Jan. 22, 1947 in Colville, the son of Warren Harding and Ethel Irene (McCleary) Franz.
Doug was raised in Kettle Falls, where he attended school. In 1965, he graduated from Kettle Falls High School and then en¬listed in the U.S. Air Force. Doug served for three years, four months and two days and was honorably discharged on May 29, 1969.

Thelma Warwick

Thelma F. Warwick (Grillo) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Jan. 20, 2014 from chronic health issues at the age of 73. She was born on Feb. 7, 1940, the eldest of three siblings, to Henry and Elaine Grillo in Tonasket.
Thelma leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Stan; her sons, Rusty Warwick, Spokane; Phil Warwick and his wife, Tina, Kettle Falls; her daughter, Kim Warwick, Spokane, and two grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Warwick.

Clyde Rose

February 7, 2014

Clyde Rose was born in the small farming community of Rice on March 20, 1923. He passed away in the home he built on Jan. 19, 2014, in Olympia.
Preceding him in death were all his siblings, his daughter, Mary, and loving wife, Elizabeth.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Rose; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Butch Jennings

William “Butch” Jennings of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Colville, passed away on Nov.11, 2013. Butch was born on June 20,1939 in Colville.
After graduating from high school, Butch joined the U.S. Air Force, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War. Butch retired from the USAF in 1978.
In 2012, Butch returned to Pensacola to be closer to his children.
Butch was preceded in death by the love of his life, Berta Eastman.

Thelma Warwick

Thelma F. Warwick (Grillo) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Jan. 20, 2014 from chronic health issues at the age of 73. She was born on Feb. 7, 1940, the eldest of three siblings, to Henry and Elaine Grillo in Tonasket.
