Michael Stephen Randall passed away July 28, 2012 in a car accident in Yamhill County, Oregon at age 24. He was born Nov. 1, 1987 to Gregory and Suzanne Randall, the send of five children. He shared his birthday with his brother, Joshua E. Randall, who was born exactly three years later.
Michael grew up in Tacoma. He lived in Tacoma until his family moved to Colville in 2000.
George Leroy Marcum passed away Oct. 27, 2012 at his home in Kettle Falls. He was born on January 10, 1933 to Roy and Sadie Marcum in Almira.
He attended school in Almira, graduating in 1952. George received an all-sports scholarship to Humboldt College in California. He only attended four months when he was drafted into the Army. Basic Training was at Fort Ord, California. He served two years. Seventeen-and-a-half months were served in Germany.
He met Ann Miltner in January 1956; they married in June of that year.
Donald P. Dubois passed away in Aurora, Colorado on Sept. 11, 2012. He served in the U.S. Public Health Service and retired as a Regional Administrator, EPA Region X.
He graduated from Colville High School in 1953 and from Washington State University as a Civil Engineer in 1957. He later earned his Masters Degree from California Technology School in the Environmental Field.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette; son, James; daughter, Jackie (Dan) Scolaro; step-children, Roy (Cheryl) Martinez, Susan (Paul) Brennan, and grandchildren Nicole, Ariana and Isabella.
Burl Glen Fowler, longtime resident of Colville, passed away Oct. 20, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Spokane after an eight-month battle with cancer.
Burl was born March 1, 1966 to John and Shirley Fowler in Las Vegas, Nevada. Growing up in a Navy family, they moved often, but primarily were based in Western Washington, where Burl attended North Kitsap High School.
Nancy Jean McLain, a six-year resident of Colville, passed away on Nov. 1, 2012 in her home surrounded by loving family. Nancy was born on July 11, 1947 in Evanston, IL, the daughter of Francis Edgar and Nancy Mary (Higgins) Worcester.
She moved often while growing up to follow the work opportunities of her father. Nancy attended grade school successively in the communities of Hutchinson, KS; Everett, Wenatchee, Seattle and Sitka, AK. Her high school years were shared between the communities of Anchorage and Glennallen, AK.
Marion Dee (Morgan) Satterlee passed away Oct. 11, 2012 in Glendale, California. She was born July 28, 1923 in Spokane. Her parents, George Morgan and Opal Talkington, grew up in Harrington and farmed there during the early 1920â€™s. Two generations of grandparents were pioneers that came West by wagon train to the Washington Territory.
Linda Gene Rogers was born on June 17, 1949 in Seattle on June 17, 1949 to Donald and Dorothy Rogers, with an older sister and ultimately, a younger brother.
On Nov. 3, 2012, at 3:45 p.m., my loving wife, Lindy, went home to Jesus from multiple cancers. Her lifelong uncondiÂ¬tional, and total faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, completely carried her through two previous bouts with this dread disease and back to health. This time, the disease would not be denied.
Joy Ann Schutt, 76, a lifelong resident of Republic, WashingÂ¬ton, passed away on Oct. 29, 2012 in Republic. She was born on Sept.10, 1936 in Republic to Louis and Iva (Jernburg) LemÂ¬beck.
Joy was born, raised and attended school in Republic and graduated from Republic High School in 1954. After graduation, she spent one year at Washington State University. In 1957, Joy married Rex Schutt in Republic and shortly after they moved to Walworth, Wisconsin. In 1964, they moved back to ReÂ¬public where she raised her family and lived the remainder of her life.
Hugh Painter Osborne Jr., an 18-year resident of Valley, passed away on Oct. 27, 2012 in Spokane at the age of 74. Hugh was born on Dec. 19, 1937 in Binghamton, NY, the son of Hugh Painter and Ada (Phillips) Osborne.
He moved often while growing up because of his fatherâ€™s work as an officer in the U.S. Army. Hugh graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1956 and began college. In 1958, he entered the U.S. Army and served for two years and then reÂ¬turned to college as an â€śAggieâ€ť at Texas A&M.
Frances Swan, 107-years-old, of Kettle Falls went to be with her beloved husband Severt, on Nov. 1, 2012. Frances was born to Ida and John Henry Beagley on June 22, 1905 at Medical Lake.
