Ada Yankus

Ada May Yankus, passed away on July 1, 2012 at Buena Vista Retirement Center in Colville at the age of 79.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and making blankets, doilies and baby outfits. Ada also loved canning and baking. She won numerous ribbons at the Northeast Washington Fair. She grew beautiful flowers and loved her roses. She loved hummingbirds and enjoyed watching them.
Ada was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and lived in Colville for 48 years. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by eight sons and daughters, and by numer¬ous grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Yvonne Junker¬meier, Colville; Ramona Countryman, Pasco; Charlie and Terri Yankus, Canby, OR; Terry and Edna Roberts, Suncrest; Mathew and Jeanette Yankus, Wasilla, AK; Seth and Rhonda Yankus, Marcus; Asa Yankus, Suncrest; and Marv and Becky Sumner, Port Angeles.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Louis, in 2000.
Ada will be laid to rest with her husband at the Marcus Cemetery.
Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
