This year’s
rodeo is May 19

This year’s Arden Old-Timer’s Rodeo will return to its usual May date. The 2012 edition of a popular rite of spring will be held Saturday, May 19 at the Arden Old-Timer’s Rodeo Arena. The show will start at 2 p.m.
Admission is by donation.
This year’s rodeo will include a raffle and the opportunity to win half a beef (first prize), a cord of firewood (second prize) and handmade saddle racks (third place).
Tickets for the drawing the day of the rodeo are $1 apiece.
Concern about an equine virus postponed last spring’s rodeo, which made its run in September at the Arden arena.
But the rodeo is back in its usual May date for 2012.
This year’s version of the popular rodeo for cowboys and cowgirls a little long in the tooth will feature the usual events. Among them: wild cow riding, goat tying, barrel racing, mutton busting, team roping, etc.
Some important dates to remember at the Arden arena in 2012: Kids Day, August 18; the annual Cancer Ride on June 23 to benefit the Relay for Life, and the trail ride in September.
