METALINE FALLS—Award-winning Blues and American Roots Music performer Lauren Sheehan will be coming to the Cutter Theatre in the 100-year-old Metaline Falls School on Sunday, March 18, at 6 p.m. for an evening she calls “Hardly Strictly Irish.â€
The program is comprised of original songs, Irish melodies and stories, Blues, Folk and Blarney.
Sheehan’s album, Rose City Ramble, was voted the number eight-rated album by Folk DJ Radio and was a finalist in Americana Music for the Inde¬pendent Music Awards in 2006.
Sheehan and her guitar, mandolin and banjo tour ex¬tensively and she’s an audience favorite at Folk Life Festivals nationwide.
An Irish dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m. with three winter-warming hearty soups/stews, freshly made peasant bread, beverage and apple pie.
