Belle Michael

June 20, 2012

Belle Michael, a lifetime resident of the Kettle Falls area, passed away June 13, 2012 at the age of 88. She was born on August 29, 1923 at Barnaby Creek to Frank and Mary Ann (Sinclaire) Kaelber.
Belle graduated from the Inchelium High School in 1941. In 1943 she married William Orin Michael in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A few years after their marriage, they moved back into the area. Every year the family would make a trip to Seattle to see family.
Belle’s children were her first priority. She cared and loved them unconditionally. She also loved spending time in her kitchen where she cooked wonderful meals and baked delicious pies. She was always concerned about other people’s needs instead of her own. She would never turn anyone away, whether it was giving them a meal or sharing with them in any other way. She will live on forever in the hearts of those that knew and loved her.
Belle is survived by one daughter, Ina Jo and Bill Philpott, Arden; four sons, Dan and Beth Michael, Kettle Falls; Rob and Tracey Michael, Kettle Falls; Dave Michael, Kettle Falls, and Pat and Patti of Kettle Falls; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, and by one son, William Orin Michael Jr.
A graveside service for Belle was held on Saturday, June 16 at the Garden Valley Cemetery in Kettle Falls.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one’s choice.
Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com.
