Blaine Moorhead

 Blaine E. Moorhead passed away on October 21, 2013 on the farm his parents raised him on.
He was born the son of Ross and Elise (Ralph) Moorhead on Sept. 28, 1926 in Colville. Blaine was a life-long resident of Colville and graduated from Colville High School. After graduating from high school, Blaine enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country. Following his honorable discharge in 1947, Blaine returned to the family farm where he lived until his passing.
One of Blaine’s truest loves was his farm and his livestock. He farmed in the Rocky Lake area all of his life and spent many days sitting in his truck watching neighbors as their hay was cut or their wheat was combined. He was also a member of the Local Fraternal of Eagles.
Blaine was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Elsie Moorhead; sister,, Norma Klones; his brother, Troy Moorhead and grandson Zane Vos.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Shelley MacGregor, Renn Moorhead and Lexey Purcell; step-children, Jack McCotter, Lori Porubek, Angela Hedrick, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
