Bob Storms

Bob Storms passed away on Oct. 22, 2013 from complications of cancer. Bob was born in Spokane on June 24, 1926, the eldest child of Fred and Ann (Roberg) Storms. Bob attended Gonzaga Prep High School and joined the Navy in 1944 to serve his country in World War II. He was proud to be invited to Washington DC earlier this year as a guest of the Honor Flight Program. Bob married Audree (Smith) June 4, 1947 and together they raised a family of five sons and two daughters. Bob enjoyed a long and successful career in banking and real estate appraising. He enjoyed fishing, was an excellent bridge player and was a life-long golfer. He shared his passion for golf with his family and played with them until his passing. Bob is survived by his companion of many years, Marge Hogan; his children, Don Storms, Tom Storms, Joe Storms, Ted Storms, Marilyn Kempter, Laura Amonson; brother, Mike Storms; Sisters, Sr. Donna Storms and Sr. Jeanne Storms of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews in a large, extended family. Bob was a loving father, companion, grandfather and friend to all. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Audree; son, Douglas; brother, Bill Storms and sisters, Rita Oien and Marge McKee. His service was held at St. Mary of the Rosary Catholic Church in Chewelah on Saturday, Nov. 9th.
