Colville Police investigate shooting incident on E. 3rd

Colville Police responded to a call of “shots fired” on E. 3rd Avenue at about noon on Thursday. Upon arrival on scene, police found spent shotgun casings and learned that an individual or individuals had fired rounds into the radiator of a parked late model black car, according to the Colville Police report. The late model Dodge Charger with Oregon plates was reportedly occupied at the time of the shooting incident. According to witnesses, a vehicle described only as “white” left the scene of the shooting. Shortly after the shooting incident was reported, the Dodge Charger was located on N. Washington, according to the report. Police impounded that vehicle. Colville Police are asking for help identifying the suspect involved in the shooting incident. “Anyone who has information referencing this case is urged to call Colville Police,” Colville Police Chief Bob Meshishnek said. “We are looking for anyone who might have heard or seen anything.”
