Curtis Young

Curtis Young, “Fish”, age 41, passed away in Spokane on May 4, 2012. He was born on Dec. 11, 1970, the son of Steven and Marie (Holland) Young, in Colville.
Curt, a life-long resident of Kettle Falls and Colville, attended school in Kettle Falls and graduated from Kettle Falls High School in 1989. He was a very generous man, a big-hearted, caring individual who always lived life to the fullest. Curt was also one of the founding members of the “Richard Craniums”.
Curt, owner and operator of a painting business, painted everything from houses to golf carts. He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a hand. When not working, Curt enjoyed golf, playing pool, hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors.
He was a member of Dominion Meadows Golf Course and The Colville Elks Lodge. Curt played in almost every golf tournament in the area, and was always the life of the party.
Curtis is survived by his mother, Marie Young, Kettle Falls; his father, Steven Young and wife Dorothy, Kettle Falls; a brother, Greg Young and wife Shay, Colville; The Holland Family, Kettle Falls and Colville; the Young Family, Kettle Falls and Colville; a large extended family and many, many friends.
Fish will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for Curt will be on Wednesday, May 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville.
A graveside service and ash committal will take place at Meyers Falls Cemetery in Kettle Falls on Friday, May 11 at 3 p.m., with a celebration of life immediately following the service at The American Legion Hall in Kettle Falls.
