Dale Salhus

Dale Vernon Salhus of Inchelium passed away on April 17, 2014 of a sudden heart attack at the age of 71.  He was born in Lewiston, ID on July 16, 1942 to Magdlena and Melvin Salhus, one of 4 boys.
The family moved to Aberdeen, SD, where Dale finished high school in 1961.  His working career began in Aberdeen and continued in the Seattle area, where he worked for Rohr Industries in the construction of Boeing jet engines for 16 years.  There he married Sharon Hansen and had two children, Danielle and Dale Jr.  
Following Sharon's accidental death, Dale met and married Marjory, and eventually they settled in Inchelium. From 2005 until now, they worked as a team, managing the Inchelium Water District.
Dale loved outdoor activities.  He was devoted to God, his family and friend…he affected many lives.  He was a fun-loving person and a joy to be around with his quick wit and humor.  
He is survived by his wife, Marjory; his daughter, Danielle Romo, Everett, and three grandchildren, Cedric, Michael and Kiarra.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; by his son, Dale Jr., and by his brothers, Daryl, David and Donald.
Funeral service for Dale will be held at a later date.
