Darlene Eason

Darlene V. Eason, a longtime resident of Kettle Falls, passed away on June 23, 2011 in Kettle Falls at the age of 79. She was born in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Bert and Cynthia (Blackman) McCaslin.
Darlene moved from Wisconsin to Walla Walla with her family when she was five and then to Pleasant Valley (Rice) when she was 12. She married Sam Eason on March 17, 1979 and they enjoyed 32 wonderful years together. Darlene was one of the most pleasant people anyone could ever know.
Darlene was preceded in death by her twin sister, Arlene McCaslin, in 1949; by her son, Ivan Yake, 1995, and by her sister, Delilliamn “Dee” Legas, in 2005.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Sam Eason; her sons, Richard Yake, Tom Yake and Corey Yake; her daughter, Christina Bryant; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
The graveside service for Darlene will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 1 at the Highland Cemetery in Colville.
A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. at the Kettle Falls Senior Center.
The Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Colville has been entrusted with arrangements.
