Deborah Bond

November 1, 2013

Deborah Jean Bond, a lifetime resident of Colville, passed away on Oct. 18, 2013 at her home at the age of 54. Deborah was born on Feb. 24, 1959 in Colville, the daughter of Robert Jackson “Jack” and Donna Kathleen (Hager) Darnielle.
Deborah grew up on the family ranch near Arden. She attended school in Colville and graduated as a twelve-year senior of Colville High School in 1977. Deborah then worked for a time in the local forests with the Department of Natural Resources. In 1978, she married Julian Bond in Colville. They began a family with the birth of their son, David.
Deborah loved her role as a wife and mother and worked in the home caring for the needs of her family. She carried the desire to serve the need of others throughout her life, extending her love for one-another into her in-home care giving in the latter years.
Deborah loved to share time with her family. They took many trips together and traveled extensively while their son, David, was young. Deborah also had a wonderful love for music and played the guitar for many years. Deborah embraced the outdoors. She rode horses, motorcycles and took countless hikes and nature walks. One of her yearly highlights was the family summer cattle drives which celebrated its 70th drive this year. Debbie dedicated her life to Jehovah God in 2008 and became a Jehovah Witness. She loved sharing her knowledge about Jehovah with others.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Julian Bond, at the home; son, David Bond and his wife, Crystal, Spokane; parents, Jack and Donna Darnielle, Arden; brothers, Murray Darnielle and his wife, Melanie, Colville; Robert Darnielle, Spokane; niece, Jennifer McLoud and her husband, Scott; nephew, Ian Darnielle and his wife, Sarah, Colville.
