Doggen and Little finished fifth in doubles at last yearâs tournament in Yakima.
While the veteran CHS seniors qualified for State once again, Colvilleâs top singles player, junior Tessa Moore (seeded no. 1 to the regional), and Colvilleâs doubles team of senior Carly Ekins and junior Alyssa Kienbaum didnât advance out of the regional.
Doggen and Little eased past Hansen and Baye of Reardan in their opening round match, 6-0, 6-1, before beating Chewelahâs Kenney/Kofmehl, 6-1, 1-6, 6-1.
In the regional title match-up, the CHS duo was pitted against their Lakeside rivals, March and Aguirre. Doggen and Little have played some spirited and competitive matches with their fellow NEA rivals this spring. The regional match-up was no different.
