Donald William Doran has left this earth at the age of 54 in his home near Addy. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lyman Baptist church hall on Sunday, June 24 at 2 p.m. Please join us as we share stories and good times we enjoyed with Don during his life. Don was a 1976 graduate of Burlington-Edison High School where he excelled on the basketball team. He continued to play basketball and was an avid gardener. After high school, he was married to Diane Radcliffe and had two beautiful children. They raised their family in Mt Vernon. He began working in the tire business, then moved into the field of Underground Construction, working for local companies, including Herman Hobbick Trucking, Mitzel Construction and Sullivan Trucking. Don remarried in 2003 in Maine, and with his wife Rita, moved to eastern Washington, where he worked for Colville Construction and met many great new friends. The greatest joy in his life were his children, Lyndsey and Kyle. He was so very proud of them, especially now as grown adults. The arrival of his first grandchild, Kaylie, brought such happiness and incredible love and completeness to his life. Don is survived by his wife, Rita, at their home near Addy; his beloved daughter, Lyndsey and Ryan, and his grandchild, Kaylie Hufford; son Kyle and Whitney, and his step-son, Joshua Hoyt; his loving sister, Penny and Denise; and Diane and Eric; his best friend and uncle, Al Baele, Annie and their children, Angel and Gus. And all the many family members and friends that loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Susan Binns and Donald Andrew Doran.
