Dwight (Pat) Patterson

September 26, 2012

Pat is now in God’s memory as he fell asleep in death on Sept. 6, 2012 in Colville.
Pat was born to S.K. and Bonnie Patterson on July 19, 1946 in Roswell, New Mexico. He met his wife Nancy in Del Norte, Colorado. They raised three sons in the Colville area.
Pat loved the outdoors. He was a logger most of his life. Pat loved hunting, fishing, camping, crabbing and cutting firewood.
He will be remembered as a loving, big-hearted, and kind, brother, husband, father, grandpa, and friend to his wife, Nancy; daughter, Joelle (Doug); his sons, Scott (Julie), Brandon (Fawn), Thad (Danielle); his granddaughters, Hollyanna and Makenzie, and his sister, Mary Ann Burke.
Pat was always ready to help anyone that needed him. He was known as a very compassionate man. He had empathy for anyone ill or hurt; he spent most of his last years in pain because of an accident.
His family leaned on him as their spiritual guide. He loved his God very much and was concerned always about showing it. Pat would tell anyone who would listen about the grand promises his God, Jehovah, has in store for obedient mankind.
His last year was spent in Pinewood Nursing Home in Colville. If he was here, he would tell you how much he loved the people there. They became his trusted friends. His family does appreciate all the care and love given to him.
A memorial for Pat will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 96 Buena Vista Road, Colville.
