Ershal Haynes

Ershal Haynes passed away, August 8, 2011, at the age of 68. Ershal was born January 23, 1943 in Colville to James Ershal Haynes (1894-1987) and Gladys Francis Ester (Bell) Haynes (1910-2009).
Ershal was the 7th of 11 brothers and sisters; Jim Haynes (1930-2010) and Janice of Kettle Falls, William Haynes and Lorraine of Chewelah, Bob Haynes and Lucille of Kettle Falls, Jack Haynes and Vernal of Kettle Falls, Mike Haynes of Kettle Falls, Arletta Haynes of Kettle Falls, Barbara Kruger and Don of Cheney, Linda McBride and Rick of Raymond, Carlie Ross of Chewelah and Kathy-Haynes Holman and Dave of Chewelah.
He was a lifelong resident of Stevens County but resided the last 17 years in Peachcrest. Ershal is survived by daughter Fonnetta Sweeney and her husband Michael, of Spokane, stepdaughter Debra Ford and her husband Bret, of Spokane, and five grandchildren, Kassandra Sweeney, Alex Sweeney, Melissa Sweeney, Makayla Sweeney and Marcus Ford. Ershal was preceded in death by his granddaughter Natasha Rachelle Haynes in 1989. Ershal worked for Boise Cascade lumber company in Kettle Falls for 20 years. Also during this time, he attended school and earned an Electronic Technician certification. Ershal enjoyed reading the Bible, tinkering and repairing electronics and building model airplanes. His true passion was to fly airplanes, but settled on watching and learning about as many as he could. A graveside service will be held at Meyers Falls Cemetery in Kettle Falls on Wednesday, August 10 at 4 p.m. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is Entrusted with the arrangements.
