Fall sports practice sessions start soon

August 6, 2013

Another sign that summer is almost over is the start of fall sports practices at area high schools.
The first day of fall sports practice sessions for cross-country, volleyball and girl’s soccer is Monday, August 26.
Prep football practice sessions get a jump-start and will get underway one week earlier—on Monday, August 21.
Student/athletes are reminded that current physicals and all paperwork are due the first day of practice.
Colville High head coach Randy Cornwell’s Indians will get practice sessions underway from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 21. The Indians will hold “Daily Double” sessions every other day through August. Evening sessions will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on the CHS practice fields.
Two practice sessions a day are scheduled for August 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30.
Single practice sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
CHS will open the 2013 season at home Friday, Sept. 6 with a non-league game against Freeman.
The Indians will continue non-league action with their Highway 395 rivalry game at Chewelah on Friday, Sept. 13.
Colville will open Class 2A Great Northern League play on Friday, Sept. 27 when the Indians entertain West Valley.
Cornwell said that the necessary paperwork can be picked up at the CHS office.
For more information, call the CHS office at 684-7800 or Cornwell (690-1407).
