Flora Cottrell

Flora May Cottrell passed away on August 18, 2012 in Northport at the age of 79. She was born the daughter of Elmer and Tince (Branham) Oliver in Paso Robles, CA on Sept. 30, 1932. She was a twin being the eighth child out of 13 children.
Flora married Don Woodford Cottrell on May 27, 1950. They moved from Southern California to Fort Bragg with their three children, and then moved to Casper, CA, where they lived for 17 years before relocating to Northport.
In her spare time, Flora enjoyed canning food, collecting antiques and dolls, sewing, and helping her husband with the bookkeeping for his boat insulating business.
Flora was preceded in death by her husband Don in 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Meadlin, Quincy, CA; sons Wayne Cottrell and wife Sharon, Fort Bragg, CA; Ernest Joseph, Northport; sister Maureen Horton, Pensacola, FL; brother Ronald Oliver, Fort Bragg; grandchildren Patricia, Natalie, Mason, and Melvin Mathew; adopted family of Randy and Lisa Beaver, Kettle Falls; Ruth and Emil Juhola of Idaho; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
