Florence Mildred Enright passed away on August 26, 2012 at the age of 94. She was born the daughter of Burt and Lucy (Richart) Thompson on Nov. 17, 1917 in Northport. Florence attended school in Northport and Colville and graduated from Colville High School in 1936.
On June 25, 1938, Florence married Merle Bernard Enright. Together they had two children, Jane and Betty.
She was a hardworking homemaker and devoted wife and mother. In her spare time she loved to crochet, sew, embroider, tend to her flower garden, can food, and she baked some of the best bread. Florence and Merle raised their children on the family farm on Pingston Creek, outside of Kettle Falls.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband,, Merle, in 1995; by daughter Jane, and by son- in-law, Harold Rotter.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Rotter, Colville; son-in-law, Ed Newton, Spokane; grandchildren Doug Ghraham and wife Melody, Eagle River, AK; Gina Tveit-Ferguson and husband Fareon, Colville; Mark Newton and wife Diane, Colbert; Kevin Newton and wife Becky, Sacramento, CA; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
If one so wishes, memorial contributions can be made in Florenceâ€™s name to ones choice.
Funeral service for Florence will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 30 at Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville, followed by a vault interment at Mountain View Park Cemetery.
