Floyd Best

Floyd Dean Best, Sr. (age 74) was born March 27, 1938 to Basil and June Best in Colville. He passed away on June 23, 2012 in Spokane.
Floyd started his military career at a young age by joining the Marines. He transferred to the Army, retiring after 21 years. He was very proud of his military service.
Floyd was married for 37 years to Christa.
He is survived by their two children, Pamela (LaMonte L.) Moultray, Choteau, Montana; his son, Floyd Dean Best, Jr., Moses Lake; five grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren; his siblings, Lorrain Cress, Tumbler Ridge, B.C.; Elmer (Bud) Ko¬erner, Chewelah; Lois (Philip) Hollabough, Colville; Lavernia (Mike) Elwell, Desmet, Idaho; Cindy (Tony) Gordon, Thorpe, and friend James in Medical Lake.
Floyd enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching the birds and wildlife that he and James fed, sometimes catching them on camera, including the occasional raccoon or skunk.
Floyd will be interred at the Washington State Veterans’ Cemetery at Medical Lake.
