Frances Swan

November 7, 2012

Frances Swan, 107-years-old, of Kettle Falls went to be with her beloved husband Severt, on Nov. 1, 2012. Frances was born to Ida and John Henry Beagley on June 22, 1905 at Medical Lake.
She moved to Boyds as a young girl, where she grew up. She married Severt Swan on Dec. 25, 1923. They resided at Boyds, where Severt was the mail carrier and Frances was his assis¬tant and also the telephone operator. Frances was very active in Kettle Falls Eastern Star and was a member of the Rhodo¬dendron Club. She and Severt moved from Boyds into Kettle Falls after they retired and Severt’s health was failing.
The family would like to especially thank the people of Buena Vista Care Facility for the loving care they gave Frances over the last year-and-a-half. Also, many, many, thanks to Lech Radzimski and the Stevens County Prosecutor’s office for their tireless pursuit of justice, and to so many members of the community that came forward on Frances’ behalf.
Severt, her husband of 69 years, preceded her in death in 1991. They never had any children, but she is survived by nieces Louann Morris and Lynn Hume, and by a nephew, Ed (Penny) Swan, all of Bremerton.
At Frances’ request, there will be no funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children or to a charity of choice.
Private interment will take place at Mountain View Park, at a later date.
Please visit the online memorial and sign the guestbook at www.danekasfuneralchapel.com.
Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
